Access to healthcare is a challenge for families in Haiti. Untreated health conditions can quickly turn serious. Many common vaccinations are a challenge to administer or verify have been completed. Our staff nurses serve in the capacity of school nurses, caring for the physical needs of students while they are at school, as well as performing home visits to address health issues and safety concerns of the family. Attention to ailments and injuries combats potential absences from school and gaps in learning. Patient education helps prevent communicable illnesses from spreading, promoting healthier lives and healthier communities.
