Haiti Kids School has been supporting Lott Carey School since 2008.

Serving the poorest children in the region; education and nutrition are a vital role in the development and survival of these kids.  Lott Carey not only provides education for the 270 attending students, but they also provide each child one meal a day.  Often this is the only meal these children will receive.

Lott Carey School is located in Leogane, Haiti.  Léogâne, population 250,000, is located 18 miles west of Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince and was at the epicenter of the 7.0 earthquake on January 12, 2010.  80-90% of the city was destroyed. The schools, hospitals, houses, stores, and orphanages were left in total devastation. In an already severely impoverished population; thousands were left homeless and in worse living conditions than they were prior to the earthquake.

Half of Haiti’s population is 25 years of age and under. Haiti’s hope for a better future is with the children. Haiti Kids School Child Sponsorship Program strives to make a lasting impact by providing the children with education, nutrition, opportunity and hope for their future.
